My china days are over!
Hong Kong, China

So the last time I wrote I had just been in Guangzhou. But after my stay there I took the train over to Hong Kong. It's still part of China but it's a S.A.R (Special administrative region) which means they have their own boarders, currency and rules. And the first thing that hit me when i arrived is how much more expensive Hong Kong is compared to the rest of China. China is so affordable to travel in as a swede. Cheap hotels, food, transport and everything. But when i arrived in Hong Kong it's almost back to Sweden prices, which feels very expensive when you have gotten used to China prices. It's also intresting that the quality of the service is worse and prices are higher. For example the hotel rooms are small, old and expensive in Hong kong. The taxi cars are old and worn out. But in China the cars are brand new electric cars, the hotel rooms are also big, new and cheap. It's quite a contrast just one short train ride can make.
Anyway my first day in Hong Kong i took a 1 hour boat trip over to Macau another SAR of china and an old portugese colony, which is also known as the Las Vegas of asia. I first spent the morning walking around in the old portugese areas which was nice, hot as hell though. Then i took the bus over to the Casino side of the town, which was amazing. It's huge hotels and Casinos that are all just lying side by side. It's so over the top that it's crazy. Everything also has a theme. So you have the Paris casino, the English Casino, the Italien one, Movie casino etc. etc. And all of the Casinos are huge and so impressivly decorated that you can just walk around all day and be amazed at the scenery. I did however play some slots as well when I was there and won about 200 Hong kong dollars, which is about 250 kronor. Not to much to brag about. I also spent a lot of time just looking at the games others were playing because I had no idea how they worked. There were a lot of Baccarat, which i figured out after a while how it worked. But then there was also some sort of domino game others were playing, I had no idea how that worked though. But anyway a really fun day and amazing place to visit for the day.
After that day I was back in Hong kong and i spent the night at a bar crawl to different speakeasy bars in Hong Kong, which was also a very fun thing to do. It was an event with a mixed group of people, both locals and travelers which was fun. It was also very cool bars they took us to which also made the night very rememberable. Since I didn't have that many days in Hong Kong and I spent one of them in Macua I didn't really have any more time to explore Hong Kong. But it was still a cool place from the little i saw and maybe I will go there another time again. But now I'm already in my next destination, which I will write more about next time. But I will be here a bit longer because I'm tired of traveling so fast and not really having the time to see as much as I want to.
